Just past the lobby’s tactile setting, the legendary Round Bar, now Bar Forty Four, unravels to create an intimate setting signaled by a series of brass fins with subtle views extending from the entrance and lobby to the cream toned leather walls of Brasserie Forty Four, the latest eatery by John McDonald of the acclaimed Lever House. Roman and Williams’ inspiration, steeped in geometry, is further evoked as the restaurant’s dramatic structure is etched by an intricate draped rope sculpture anchored by teak frames providing a lighter, more intimate setting for guests.
